A young bright star was extinguished on March 19, 2011.  Army Spc. Rudy Acosta a 19 year old from Santa Clarita was killed by a foreign national paid to guard our troops in battle.

Mr. Holt sites a letter from our Congressman Buck McKeon which was sent to the Signal and to Leon Panetta, our Secretary of Defense.  In it apparently Congressman McKeon expresses his “disappointment” about how long it took to get the report, and he “identified several areas and procedures that could be improved to prevent future insurgent attacks of this nature.”

Are you kidding me?  This is absurd and patronizing first to the Acosta family and secondly to us, whom the Congressman is suppose to represent!

First, let’s fix the immediate issue.  Don’t let citizens of nations that we’re at war with guard our troops.  Rather have either our troops guard themselves or at least US private contractors … Duh!  This is simply common sense.  Would you have criminal street gangs guard our police and sheriff stations?  Would you have child molesters guard our schools?

This is not a complex issue requiring committee meetings and reports.  When our troops are eating meals, sleeping, or enjoying some much needed down time, they should not have to worry that the person guarding them might kill them.

Second, the bigger issue … massive governmental incompetence from our local Congressman to the Secretary of Defense.

Congressman McKeon is the “Chairman of the Committee of Armed Services” for goodness sake!  Assuming he’s being truthful (which I doubt) this means that our government is completely inept.  If the Chairman of the Committee of Armed Services can’t get a simple report from the military than who can?

Moreover, according to the story the report was actually completed on April 14.  That means that Congressman McKeon sat on his hands for 8 months!  He should have demanded that as soon as the report was completed it is to be delivered to his desk.  Or at minimum McKeon should have been checking regularly on the status of the report, clearly he was not.

So what then was the catalyst causing the Chairman of the Committee of Armed Services to check on such an important report?  Well, he received on Friday, December 16, the day after the Signal reported a story on this issue, and three days after McKeon’s Chief of Staff was confronted by Mr. Acosta (Rudy’s dad) at a local GOP event.

Apparently it takes public disclosure of their incompetence for the McKeon machine to do their job.  Congressman McKeon has a duty to provide oversight to our military.  He is our voice to protect our young men and women serving in the military.  Congressman McKeon has a duty to provide answers to a grieving family in his district.  He has failed on both accounts.

It’s time to vote out Congressman McKeon and replace him with someone who will do their job!

Currently there is a man, a husband, a father of two, sitting in prison waiting for his execution.  His crime?  He’s a Christian in a Muslim country.

Youcef Nadarkhani an Iranian citizen has been tried and convicted in the Iranian judicial system for being a Christian.  He was given three chances to deny his faith in Jesus to spare his life … He did not recant.

Congress has launched a major bipartisan effort to empower Secretary of State, Hilary Clinton to apply political pressure to Iran for this crime against humanity.  To date 39 Congressmen have signed it.  However, my Congressman, the “Conservative” Howard P. Buck McKeon (R CA-25) has not!

Buck I can’t understand why you would be silent on this important issue.

As my representative in Washington I demand that you make my voice heard and sign this letter!  If you refuse I will do all I can to replace you with someone who will represent me … Mr. Congressman you represent me, not your interests.  You work for me and I will fire you and replace you if you don’t do your job!

Suspends AB32 (The Global Warming Final Solutions Act) which would kill
our economy.

Increases tax burdens on small businesses.

Force the legislature to call "fees" taxes and raise the requirement to 2/3rds

My GOP friends are surprisingly still using the tried and failed logic of “voting for the lesser of two evils.”

Recent history teaches us that this line of reasoning does not work, Moreover ethics demands that you don’t vote for evil to avoid evil, Finally common sense tells us that if you vote for the lesser of two evils you still have evil … So I really don’t understand why the Republican party began to use this line of reasoning, nor do I understand why they insist on holding on to it with their (literal) death grip.

I believe that the California Democratic Party understands the strategy for this race … and in my opinion they win either way.

Once they realized that the GOP was going to back Whitman the Dem’s hoisted up their throw-a-way candidate Jerry Brown.  Their thinking must be that if Whitman wins they will still be able to get their liberal policies through just like they have with our current Governor.  Additionally if things continue to deteriorate in California the Democratic Party has an easy target and scape-goat … “Hey the Republicans have been in office during the last two terms and have screwed up the state” will be their rally cry.

I will not vote for the lesser of two evils … Moreover, Whitman is not conservative thus I would not vote for her anyway … I don’t care about propping up the Republican Party!

It’s time to stop listening to the marketing slogans from both political parties and vote your conscience!  That’s what I’m going to do!
 

He immediately jumped on “his” plane and began circling the globe to tell every dictator and socialist country that America is sorry for our sins of the past, but now we’re a new nation … One among many … a fellow sojourner in this Global Family.  When he was done with his humbling of America, Obama then began his war agenda.  It started with closing down Guantanamo and ending the unlawful war in Iraq … oops, that didn’t go so well.

Obama then turns to his domestic agenda.  Right out the gate he begins (again with great fan-faire) his Health Care Reform.  The Obama cheers once again quickly turn into jeers and his attempt to socialize our medical infrastructure is met with overwhelming opposition from We The People.  Turning a blind eye and deaf ear to the will of the people the Obama Administration literally force the bill through in the dead of the night using tactics that would make Al Capone proud.

The Obama Administration realizing that they have been a complete failure thus far in their reign decides to change tactics.  Obama now knows that We The People will not allow him to force his socialist policies on America in the light of day and with trumpets blaring, thus he decides to take his agenda off Main Street and moves it to the back alleys.

Using this new tactic Obama finds success!  His administration was able to force through the Financial Reform Bill with much less opposition.  Almost without notice Obama was able to seize control of just about every financial transaction that you and I will make.

Enjoying the success of this clandestine approach Obama is not attacking Free Speech.

The Obama Administration has complete disdain for the rule of law, evidenced by Kagan (who doesn’t believe in the Declaration of Independence) and the Administrations unprecedented fight against the good citizens of Arizona … They Must Be Stopped … I pray it’s not already too late!
 

Just a few months ago the great state of Massachusetts was the seat of conservative excitement as a Republican Scott Brown took the “Kennedy seat.”  Cheers of hope from those of us desperately seeking candidates who will begin to return America back to a land of freedom and opportunity for all … Confusion and dismay from liberals who just saw the end of the 47 year Democrat reign in that state.

However just like the groaning from California with its “Republican” Governor Schwarzenegger who will be followed by another liberal in the form of either Jerry Brown or Meg Whitman, the good citizens of Massachusetts … no, the good citizens of the entire country have been let down.

We have been let down by Republicans who will now allow the Federal Government to grab control of almost our entire economy, to regulate just about every financial transaction that you and I make, and to do that all while ensuring that those who actually caused our current financial disaster are not only free, but empowered to continue in their unethical and clandestine schemes.

The three Republicans are Susan Collins (R-Maine), Olympia Snowe (R-Maine) and Scott Brown (R-Massachusetts).  However it’s not just these three traitors who are allowing our government unprecedented and un-Constitutional control of We The People … no, it’s also all the Democrats who are blindly following their demented leaders.

The Obama administration controls our right to “Life” with the Health Care Reform Bill … They are now taking control of our right of the “Pursuit of Happiness” with this Financial Reform Bill … Next is our “Liberty” … But then again, this from the man who is pushing through a candidate for the Supreme Court who doesn’t believe in the Declaration of Independence, so we shouldn’t be surprised!

The thought of politicians telling Wall Street how to do their job is disconcerting.  Moreover the hypocrisy of the Obama administration is deafening.  While this bill goes to great measures to limit banks to trade in derivatives, this same administration is running full speed into the greatest global derivative farce ever conceived via Cap and Trade (or whatever it ends up being called) where the government will control the trade of fiat derivatives called carbon emissions.

But not only is this administration hypocritical, it is also disingenuous.

This new Financial Reform bill will not eliminate banks practice of derivative trading, no rather the bank just has to form a separate entity through with to engage in this type of trading … Now that’s fixing the problem!

Before your eyes glass over with all this talk about banking, trading and derivatives, according to Senator Chris Dodd, a chief architect of this bill, “This is about as important as it gets, because it deals with every single aspect of your lives.”

This “Financial Reform” bill doesn’t only affect those “Fat Cat Greedy Bankers” that Obama has pronounced as the cause of our current economic state … No, this bill will allow the Fed and our government control over just about every financial transaction that you engage in!

We all got stirred up over Health Care Reform that will have some effect on many of us … Our lawmakers now have just passed a bill that will give the government control of your personal finances!  Health Care Reform gave government control over your body, now Financial Reform gives government control over your money … next is your religion via free speech and political correctness …
 

Yes, distractions!  The Obama administration is happy to watch their polls plummet and their elected officials get smeared in the press as long as their lifelong strategy stays on track.

We are being distracted while the single greatest event in almost 100 years is happening without any attention at all!

Last December The House passed a finance reform bill and The Senate passed their version in May.  Now both bills are in committee being refined.  The result will be the Fed controlling almost literally every financial transaction you engage in.

I realize that most people understand that they don’t want to pay any more in taxes and so it’s easy to get energized about fighting against higher taxes.  But with financial reform most people think that this is going to apply to Obama’s “Fat Cat Greedy Bankers.”  Nothing could be farther from the truth.

The truth is this farce of financial reform will empower those “greedy” financial institutions to continue in their practices, but will tie government strings to home purchases, student loans, payday loans, your credit card purchases … almost every time you spend money the Fed will control that transaction.

I will write more on this in days to come, but the time is now!

This bill will probably only be in committee for a few more weeks!  Once it comes out of committee President Obama will sign it and the government will control almost every aspect of your personal finances!

ACTION ITEM:  Contact your representative and let them know that you are against this bill.
