From The Great Depression II to The American Tea Party

by Chris | December 8th, 2010

Boston was a center of community information.  I’ve had the privilege of walking the Freedom Trial.  I’ve stood in Faneuil Hall and the Old North Church thinking about what great and brave decisions were made in those hallowed places.

The Boston Tea Party was an event that marked the tipping point at that time.  The American Tea Party of 2009 was the beginning of a rededication … the start of a series of events that served to awaken the great sleeping giant.

The Great Recession when looked at objectively is really the Great Depression II.  While no one is daring enough to call it that the facts are clear.  Just as the Great Depression lead to massive government expansion, so The Great Recession (i.e. The Great Depression II) has also lead to massive government expansion.

However this time we have voices crying in the wilderness warning of the doom to come if we trod down that road again.  The difference this time will be if we … You and I … are willing to accept the consequences of an out of control government, bite the bullet and fight for what is right and responsible.

While the liberals are now calling good evil we must be willing to do the hard things to restore our liberties and ensure that our future generations enjoy the liberties that our Founding Fathers intended.

Restoration requires intense understanding and deliberate actions.  Will we be honorable and protect and defend our Constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic?

For the sake of my children and children’s children, I hope so.

It is high time one put an end to fishing for ways to make personal profits at the stake of the environment. The current situation is our fault and it is up to us to amend it.
