Identify The Lie

by Chris | September 10th, 2009

South Carolina Congressman Joe Wilson let his emotions get the best of him during President Obama’s speech to push his health care ideology by shouting “you lie!”  Congressman Wilson immediately came under attack and just as quickly apologized for his outburst.

Apparently it’s okay for our President to call citizens and members of his opposing party liars, however the opposite is unacceptable and partisan.  Obama said that Sara Palin’s comments about his plan “a lie, plain and simple.”

Our nation was founded by brave men and women willing to stand up against the tyranny and lies of her political leaders.  Congressman Wilson has nothing to apologize for, he did nothing inappropriate … The other elected officials in that hall should be apologizing for not rising to their feet in support of Wilson … in defense of “we the people!”

Mr. Wilson, never apologize for allowing your love of truth to overrun your desire to be polite.  If America is to remain as a beacon of light and hope to this troubled world we must be willing to stand for truth.  It is the liar who must apologize not the one who identifies the liar!

  16. There are certainly a lot of details like that to take into consideration. That is a great point to bring up. I offer the thoughts above as general inspiration but clearly there are questions like the one you bring up where the most important thing will be working in honest good faith. I don?t know if best practices have emerged around things like that, but I am sure that your job is clearly identified as a fair game.

  17. I started smoking when I was just a kid. That ended up the worst wrong move I’ve made. Right now I’m older and I’ve got chronic copd. Whilst attempting to stop smoking cigarettes, I came across the e-cig and will see how it works. With some luck, it’ll assist me with this lousy dependence.

  40. Does health care reform really have any chance now after the political defeat in MA?

  41. President Obama promised $100 million and the full resources of the U.S. government for what he said would be one of the largest relief efforts in recent history. U.S. officials said 30 countries had either sent aid or promised to do so. Rescue teams from eight countries were on the ground.

  42. Excellent post! I Googled around for this… I stumbled upon your site! :) Anyway, would you care if I posted a backlink from my blog site to your blog site?

  43. “…to return our great nation to more closely resemble what our Founding Fathers established.”

That is, run entirely by white males with women and minorities as either possessions or servants.

    Welcome to the 18th century.

Enjoy your status as the racist, lunatic fringe in the 21st.

  44. Jim, do you believe just because a bill says it won’t do something that it doesn’t?

It says it won’t be given to anyone not “lawfully present” but it provides no REQUIREMENT OF VERIFICATION.

remember, most illegals have fake social security ID’s, etc. if there isn’t a proper verification requirement in the bill, (which there is not) then they will recieve free healthcare. End of story.

  45. Let’s see … “white?” no, “southern?” from California (that’s west), “racist?” nope

Try lover of Freedom … which includes your right to make ignorant comments because you have the right to not only have your opinion, but to voice them too.

John, thank a patriot for providing and sustaining your ability to speak your mind because in left wing countries you could not do that.

  46. John Bowker says:

Your right wing paranoia is exposing you for what you are – white, southern, racists

  47. What about the proven fact that healthcare reform WILL NOT provide health coverage for illegal immigrants…?

Conervatives love to stir things up and shout… providing distraction that pleases their corporate and religious masters… but ignoring the facts all together:

The House bill contains a section (Sec. 246) titled “NO FEDERAL PAYMENT FOR UNDOCUMENTED ALIENS,” which states: “Nothing in this subtitle shall allow Federal payments for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are not lawfully present in the United States.”

  48. Jody from NYC says:

Joe Wilson is my new hero!!!!!!
Obama is a liar and a thief!!!!!
    Thank you South Carolina!!

  49. Wrong, joed
Obama thought he had a secure venue in which to propagate his lies to the American people. Joe Wilson upset that game plan fabulously. Millions saw the outburst and identified with the sentiments. He said the same that we were all yelling at our TV sets throughout the speech.

  50. Wrong. You don’t shout or heckle the President during an address. It’s not “Question Time” in Parliament. It’s called being polite, civil, courteous and well-mannered. Your hero qualifies as none of the above. He apologized for doing it, so someone got it into his skull that he had screwed up. Don’t defend the indefensible. The opinion he expressed does not matter in the least. The conduct does. Guy’s an idiot.
