The right to have an opinion and to voice that opinion is fundamental to a free society. However distasteful your neighbor’s opinion may be to you, their right to possess and voice it is essential.
This is necessary to allow the minority a voice. Without such a freedom those in minority could never stand on equal ground with the majority.
Many, if not all of the tyrannical nations around the world don’t acknowledge this as a right. Interestingly with the advent of technological resources like Twitter, YouTube and Face Book the oppressive hand of such governments are being lifted against their will.
Young technologically savvy citizens around the world are now learning that the “devil of the west” is not quite the monster they have been told it is. They are seeing firsthand the value and beauty of freedom and they cannot trust an oppressive government.
It seems that Twitter has done more to establish freedom around the world then the most powerful person in the free world.
