Liberty is unsustainable without responsibility. Each citizen must take responsibility for the consequences of his or her own actions while respecting the rights and dignity of others.
As good citizens it is the responsibility of kind and generous individuals to care for those in need, not from compulsion nor by force, but out of compassion.
It is not the responsibility of our government to re-distribute wealth, develop social programs or ensure the public welfare.
